Outings, Meetings and Other Events

Wednesday October 2nd, 7:00 pm - General Meeting:  the Winding Waters Group will host a presentation by Madi Hirschland from Hoosier Interfaith Power & Light.   With six active affiliates across Indiana, Hoosier Interfaith Power & Light (H-IPL) brings together Hoosiers of faith to help curb climate change.  Its workshops engage people of faith to act, including congregations here in Columbus, and its Seventh Day congregations are reducing their energy use by 25% to 40%.  Vice chair of H-IPLís board, our presenter, is the founding convener of H-IPLís Bloomington affiliate, which comprises twenty-one congregations, from evangelical and mainline Protestant to Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and more.   We will learn a about H-IPL and explore how faith communities in Columbus might come together as stewards of this great gift of the Earth.  The Winding Waters Group thanks the Columbus Peace Fellowship and Interfaith Forum Columbus for their interest and support for this event.  For more information, contact CharlieRed Room, Bartholomew County Library.

Wednesday November 6, 2013 - General Meeting:  Critical Environmental Issues for the upcoming session of the Indiana General Assembly.  Mike Mullett will provide an update on important matters expected for the next session of the General Assembly.  This will offer a great opportunity to become informed and take action on key issues affecting Indiana's environment.  For more information, contact CharlieRed Room Bartholomew County Library.
