Nature Hike at Pinhook Bog

8:50 a.m. at the Dorothy Buell Memorial Visitor Center. About two hours.
Details:
Join a ranger for a 1.5-hour walk along a
floating mat of sphagnum moss and discover evergreens that lose their
needles, and plants that eat insects. Fourteen thousand years in the
making, and a remnant of the last Ice Age, Pinhook Bog is a rare and
beautiful environment. Participants will meet at the visitor center and
caravan to the bog. From nps.gov website

The Dorothy Buell Memorial Visitor Center
is located in the southeast corner of the Route 49 and Route 20
intersection; enter from Route 49. For reservations, or more
