 Please join us for this historic event, with similar summits happening simultaneously around Indiana, across the country, and around the globe.
We hope to provide a greater understanding of climate change and how it affects Hoosiers along with an opportunity to learn what you can do to create a positive change in your community and in the state.

By attending the Gary summit, you will be joining hundreds of Hoosiers in Bloomington, Indianapolis, Lafayette, and South Bend with a focus on:

Climate Change Impacts in Indiana: Current and Long Range

Registration at 9:30 a.m.

Introductions and entertainment at 10:00 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m. we'll begin... 

Morning keynote presentations regarding climate change effects on our:

·        Ecosystems—John Shuey, Nature Conservancy

·        Public Health—Indra Frank, M.D.

·        Economy—Kenneth Richards, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, IU

·        Faith Communities—Fr. Boniface Hardin, Founder and President Emeritus, Martin University

·        Governance—Mayor James Brainard, City of Carmel, Indiana

Lunch at 11:45 a.m. including a Round Robin Webcast with other Climate Change Summits happening around the globe.

Then, at 1:15 p.m. we'll split up to join one of three, concurrent...

Afternoon training workshops, preparing you to be a:

·        Cool City and Sustainable Community
